Many of these items will be listed on eBay and many of them will probably sell for much higher prices than those listed, but in the meantime, we offer you the following at what we feel are some very great deals!

Photos available on request.

Feel free to call 802-425-3508 if you have any questions or would like to come look at any of the items for sale!

PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYE ON THIS SITE, AS WE WILL BE UPDATING THIS LIST PERIODICALLY!!

MICROPHONES

Beyer MC740 microphone $700.00 ea.
I still have one more of these excellent large diaphragm studio microphones that are under priced for their quality and build. They are multi pattern, including a very useful wide cardiode pattern, and are in like new condition. Price includes shockmount and carrying case. These sold for $1,400.00 each new!! The successor to this mic, the MC 840, sells for $1,800.00, making these quite a steal!

AKG 414 TL II microphone $625.00
I was looking for a microphone that I could take on remote recordings as an alternate to using our somewhat fragile tube C-12VRs. These wonderful mics share the same capsule as the C-12VRs and are very good sounding. I prefer them over the original 414EB's that I purchased new back in the 80's. Great on vocals and acoustic guitar. I bought a third one of these TL IIs because the first two that I purchased were packaged differently and I wanted a somewhat "matched set." (I know, I'm a bit too anal about my gear sometimes!) Anyway, this one, unlike my other one's was originally packaged without the shock mount, although I will include the same AKG shock mount that came with the other one's, so except for the box, they are virtually identical. The mic is in superb condition, with no dings, and it sounds fantastic.

AKG 535EB microphone $185.00
This is a very good condenser stage vocal microphone that you may have seen your favorite lead singer using on some late night talk show. I bought if for a remote recording several years ago, and literally used it for one night! Like new! With clip
and carrying case.

EV RE20 microphone $235.00 SOLD
I bought this several years ago as a spare, and have literally never used it, since the one that we have in use at the studio has been serving us well. It's definitely a classic and has become a secret weapon for many engineers who are looking to "tame" a vocal that doesn't work well with condenser mics. If you've heard Bonnie Raitt recordings, you've probably heard this microphone. It's also great on kick drums! Comes with clip and carrying case.

Neumann KM-88 microphone $1,200.00
This is an excellent and rare Neumann. It is based on the classic Neummann KM 84, but it has a two -sided "side- address" capsule with switchable patterns. (Omni, Cardiode, and Figure 8) Microphone guru, Klaus Heyne called this microphone one of the best sounding small diaphragm capsule microphones ever made! Because we have two vintage KM-84's, we find that we just don't use this enough to warrant hanging onto it. It's a nice mic to add to any collection! Comes with clip and carrying case.

Shure SM Beta 57 $100.00
This is an excellent microphone, and definitely superior to the conventional SM 57. While it is a studio quality piece, it will probably serve someone well for live use. I bought this new and it has remained virtually unused for the past several years, which means that it's time to find it a good home. An excellent mic for the money! Comes with clip and mic bag.

OUTBOARD GEAR

Demeter VTMP-2A Tube Mic Preamp $800.00
An infamous tube mic preamp, popularized by folks like Ry Cooder. It also has instrument inputs, which are excellent on guitar. Studio use only.

dbx 160x compressors (2) $200.00 ea.
These are amazing compressors for the money! They are extreme clean and incorporate dbx's patented "over-easy" design. I have four of them and only need two, since I now own several 160VUs so I am parting with two of them.

API 554 Parametrics (2) $450.00 ea. SOLD
These are a parametric version of the legendary API equalizer design. While not as popular at the 550 series modules, which sell for thousands of dollars, these sound quite good for the money. They will fit into any of the 500 series racks.

API 560b Graphic EQ (1) $560.00
These are fantastic units and a favorite of mine on bass. I bought this one, which is from the latest series of reissues from API only to discover that the graphics are slightly different than my other 560b's. (Did I mention that I am a nerd about some things?) Anyway, it is in 'like new" condition and I am selling it cheaply, so let me know if you're interested in it.

TC Electronics 2290 $1,450.00 SOLD
This is a totally amazing unit! It is reported to have a sampling rate frequency of one million khz!! It does not have the 8 second delay mod installed, but that can be added for $99.00 or less. This is in absolutely perfect condition and is likely worth more than what we are asking!

UREI LA-4 Limiters (2) $400.00 ea or $750.00 for the pair. I purchased these in 2005 to put into Trey Anastasio's studio, "The Barn," when I was partners with him in that enterprise. We used them on his "Oysterhead" project for Elektra, with Stewart Copeland and Les Claypool, as well as on The Trey Anastasio Band project, also for Elektra. They have had the output transformers removed (aka the "Alactronics mod"), which is supposed to make them have a more linear freq. response. I did buy a set of the original transformers, in case anyone would like to put them back in. Right now, they are racked as a pair and I would prefer to sell them that way. One of them has a cracked knob that I am assuming could be found without too much problem. Alactronics still seems to be doing repairs and mods for these things, as are a few other folks.

Roland SVC 350 Vocoder $850.00 SOLD
This is one of the coolest things I've ever bought, but after 10 years of ownership I haven't had anyone ask for it. I'm sure that once it's sold, everyone will be wanting it! It's in very good condition, and is only missing one of the tiny rubber covers on one of the 12 sliders. These are selling for much more on eBay!

Apogee PSX-100 24bit 96k Convertor $1,000.00 SOLD
This "Swiss Army Knife" convertor, let's you do all sorts of things digitally, as well as being one of the best sounding convertors of the past decade. One of these just sold on eBay for $1,600.00, so this is a very good price!

MACHINES

Panasonic SV3500 DAT machine $150.00
A good way to get a DAT machine with low hours very cheaply. This has been sitting in a rack for the last bunch of years as a backup for our other machines. Since we have several others, it hasn't seen much use and is in very good condition.

Tascam DA88 with SY88 sync card $185.00 obo
This machine is one of the most bulletproof ways to sync tape to SMPTE timecode. This particular machine has the SY-88 card built in that gives it that capability. If interested, I can check and see how many hours are on the heads, but the machine is in very good condition. I still use the four DA-78s that we have, which is why we are able to let this one go. (This was almost $4,000.00 new!)

Adcom CD Player $150.00
There are audiophiles that really like the convertors in this CD player. The digital port is not compatible with some of our digital gear which is why we are selling it so inexpensively.

Sony VO 9800 3/4" video machine $350.00
This is a full blown professional 3/4" video machine that I bought for use with several audio for video projects that we did several years back. Unlike video editing suites that used to run these things continuosly for days on end, this unit has extremely low hours on it! I bought it new and it has never even been moved! (I think that it was over $4,000.00 new.)

KEYBOARDS & MIDI GEAR

Minimoog Synthesizer Model D $1,500.00
This is the real deal!! I have two of them and decided to let one of them go. It's a little bit rough around the edges but works and is priced accordingly. It's next to impossible to get an original at this price, so don't miss out on this opportunity before it goes onto eBay! (One of these in mint condition went for $3,500.00 on eBay recently!)

Linn 9000 Drum Machine & Sequencer $500.00
I hate to see this thing go, but it needs to be used by someone who appreciates what a phenomenal a piece of gear this is! This unit has been modified to follow SMPTE timecode by the engineer that finished writing the code for Forat Electronics after they bought the rights from Linn. ( I was a consultant on that job.) Anyway, this is the machine that was so easy to use that even a blind man could use it, which is literally how it was designed for the great Stevie Wonder! Producers Jam and Lewis (Janet Jackson, etc.) said that this is the drum machine that has a "feel" to it, which is something that I totally agree with! Custom sound discs included. These went for almost $7,000.00 new back in the 80's!! Check it out!

Roland RD300 $300.00 ea, obo
This was my main keyboard for several years. It is a "digital piano" that has 88 key weighted action and the patented Roland Digital Piano sounds. I have two of them for sale, and they would make a great practice keyboard or just a sound source for some cool sounds. This will not be going on eBay because it's too big to ship. For local pickup only.

FOR MORE KEYBOARDS PLEASE SEE NEXT POST!!

MISCELLANEOUS FOR SALE

The following items are for sale but have not been tested, so that we can determine their condition for pricing.
